This is the army: During WW l, Jerry Jones, a dancer, stages an all-soldier revue on Broadway, called Yip Yip Yaphank. During WW II, his son Johny gets the order to stage a new all-soldier show called "This is the Army."
The little princess: Shirley Temple portrays Sara, the pampered daughter of a British officer. Left in a boarding school when her father goes off to war, her world is turned upside down when he is reported dead. Destitute, Sara is made a servant at the school, yet she refuses to let her spirit be broken.
The painted hills (Lassie): When Jonathan's mining claim partner turns crooked, Lassie comes to the rescue, exposing the partners hidden crime and protecting young Tommy.
Jungle book: The story of Mowgli, a man-cub raised by wolves and schooled in the jungle, who returns to civilization as a young man.
